The Heathfield Resource Recovery Centre is open to the general public and is a facility operated by the AHRWMA on behalf of the Adelaide Hills Council. Residents can recycle and dispose of a range of items at the facility and Heathfield also offers free green waste days and recycled products for sale.
All visitors to Heathfield Resource Recovery Centre must observe the site safety requirements and dress appropriately, including wearing enclosed footwear at all times. We also recommend wearing long pants, protective glasses (such as sunglasses), sun protection and work gloves for your safety. If you have heavy loads, bring a friend or family member to help you unload. Children under 12 and family pets must remain in your vehicle at all times.

Green organics (trees, shrubs etc) dropped to Heathfield and Brinkley are chipped on-site and sold as mulch. This is a recycled material, therefore, the mulch quality is variable and may include some litter and soil. Mulch can be purchased at Heathfield Resource Recovery Centre and Brinkley Waste & Recycling Facility
